Mitchum’s double cousin Flick is the topic of this week’s episode. Mitchum recalls stories about Flick from his childhood, and well into his adult life, including a story he’s never told because… it’s too embarrassing!

“At some point him and Estelle, well before they did split up, I’d stay with them. God ol’ mighty, now Flick was laid back, but Estelle, she could whip a good sided man before breakfast. “Back in the early 70s he ended up at my house in Atlanta. Grace and I were split. And I was working at the liquor store and I had a bar at my home. Well I knew he was coming so I hid everything. I thought I had it hid real good, had it locked up. I should have known better.” Mitchum on his brother Gene

“They’re just breaking one law after another. And you’ve got to understand. My sister kept notes: times, date, places of everything. And she would immediately get copies of these trial hearings, and these preliminary hearings. Everything that we’ve got today we wouldn’t have had if she hadn’t have done that because they destroyed everything later.”
